I think there's a parallel between the new pope and John Paul II, who was Polish and was elected at a time when Poland was under the influence of the Soviet Union. Clearly the new guy has got his problems and is hardly the progressive pope one might have hoped for BUT I think he, like JPII, was elected to counter act the regime of his home country.

my mom: the dog has a grooming appointment at 4.

me, who has a class at 4:30 and has to rely on my mom for transportation: oh, okay, you can head over and drop her off and then drive back here and take me over to the university, and then head back there in time for her appointment to end.

my mom: but they said the appointment would take only ten minutes

me: ....they say that every time. and every time it's been 30 minutes at least. every time. you cannot rely on what the estimated time will be. listen to me. listen to me. drive back here immediately after you drop her off, I'll be ready to go. do not sit and wait in the dog groomer's parking lot.

anyways. one guess as to what the fuck she did and who was late for class.

В этом году самый грустный день рожденья за все годы. Потому что сижу на строжайшей диете и еще долго буду сидеть на ней - ничего нельзя, только каши, из мяса: индейка и курица, супы на воде. К сожалению, дальше будет не лучше.

Одна радость в жизни была - вкусно поесть, и она ушла :(

Остается только посматривать сериальчики и читать книги.

Ну и очередной год позади, продолжаю работать над своими детскими установками - борюсь с ними, успехи есть, но и работы над собой еще много и много.

Много раздумий о перспективах жизни, о жизненном пути, о людях что встречал на пути. Много думаю о смерти, последние 2 года много был на похоронах - приходится теперь и об этом думать тоже.

Вчера, с удивлением узнал, что бабушка за несколько лет до смерти сожгла много фотографий своей молодости, и она была в трезвом уме, то есть делала это осознано - наверное как бы отпуская уже свое прошлое. Я вчера сидел и думал что за дуристика... а потом уже к концу дня подумал что может быть и я под конец своей жизни буду сидеть и стирать жесткие диски... Как говориться не зарекайся.

Вот такие они мои 37 лет... Ну поехали...
